Malaysia has a lot of beautiful scenery of mountains, hills, beaches, and islands. There are few famous hills and islands which are famous and travelers love to visit. Let’s see where are tourist destinations in Malaysia.

Cameron Highland
One of the most popular hill resorts in Malaysia is Cameron Highland. It located in the north-western of Pahang. On the way up the hills, you can find plenty of vegetables and fruits farms over the highlands. There are 4 main towns in Cameron Highland, from Ringlet to Tanah Rata, Brinchang, Kea Farm, Tringkap, Kuala Terla and Kampung Raja. Tanah Rata, which means flat ground in Malay is the most popular place, gathered local and foreign tourists. Most of the resorts, hotels, holiday apartments, backpacker inns and lodges located here. It is really convenience wandering at Tanah Rata as you can find banks, bars, money changers, shops, cyber cafes, tour counters, restaurants, fast food outlets and also Starbucks. The fun part in Cameron Highland is you can pluck your own strawberries by paying an amount of money.

Genting Highlands
On the mountain top, mini Las Vegas in Malaysia – Genting Highlands is the only place with legal gambling in the country. There are several hotels for selection if you are looking for accommodations. First World Hotel is the largest hotel in Asia with over 6,000 budget rooms. Besides of casino, children can also have their own happy moments at Outdoor and Indoor Theme Park. However, the Outdoor Theme Park has been closed since September 2013 to build the world’s first Twentieth Century Fox World. The project is estimated to be completed by 2016. Other rides and attractions except for some located in First World Indoor Theme Park, SnowWorld, Sky Venture, Genting Bowl, Vision City and Funtasy World Video Game Parks are still operate as usual.

Fraser’s Hill
Fraser’s Hill is another place located in Pahang, two hours away from Kuala Lumpur City. The place is founded by a Scottish prospector Louis James Fraser when he is looking for mining. Fraser’s Hill is suitable to visit anytime throughout the year, except heavy mist and rainfall season. Unlike other hills like Cameron Highland and Genting Highland, there are fewer tourist attractions here. You can enjoy paddle boating, horse riding and archery here. In the town, you can also play a 9 – hole golf session. Walk deeper into forest, Jeriau Waterfall has much visitor at the foothills.

Langkawi Island
Langkawi Island is an archipelago made up of 99 islands on Malaysia’s west coast. If you are nature lovers, you will find that this island is a fantastic for getaway. The island is a good place for diving and the white sandy beaches with coconut trees and crystal clear water. Langkawi Island is a shopping heaven for shopaholics. Here you can get things at tax-free, such as liquors, cigars, chocolates, and fashion appeal under certain condition. The top hotels include Andaman Resort, Langkawi Seaview Hotel, Lanai Beach Resort, Hotel Grand Continental, Langkawi Lagoon Resort, The Datai Hotel and D’Coconut Hill Resort.

Pangkor Island
Pangkor Island is a small island located at west coast of peninsular Malaysia. To reach there, you can take ferry from Lumut. The main occupation of people in the island is fishermen, do fishing and selling dried seafood. Nipah Bay is surrounded by corals, fish and sea cucumbers. Many foreigner and locals tourist love to visit here. In the island, you can do jungle trekking, watersports, snorkeling, and bird watching.

Redang Island
45km from Terengganu, Redang Island is archipelago comprises 9 islands, the Lima Island, Paku Besar Island, Paku Kecil Island, Kerengga Besar Island, Kerengga Kecil Island, Ekor Tebu Island, Ling Island, Pinang Island and Redang Island. There are more than 500 species live corals, 1000 species invertebrates and 3000 species of fishes like manta rays, stingrays, sharks and whale sharks. The unique location becomes a good ecosystem for the marine livings to grow. The beautiful scenery here attracted lots of visitors, and some movies take their scene in Redang Island.
